AGENT CHANGES:
Sentinels play a crucial role in VALORANT – they punish attackers who ignore macro strategy and rely on aggressive team assaults. We believe strategy is essential in VALORANT. These changes are intended to strengthen Sentinels, making them more effective at containing audacious attackers and securing kills when defending points solo.
CLIENT CHANGES
The VALORANT client now features an inbox where non-urgent notifications will be stored. You'll be able to view new and read messages, delete individual messages, and receive more notifications as your inbox expands.
RANKED MATCH CHANGES
Now that everyone has gotten used to the MMR changes implemented at the beginning of the year, we've decided to adjust the Ranked Matchmaking Rating (RMR) calculation system so you don't feel stuck at your current rank even when you're winning regularly.
MAP CHANGES
NEW MAP: SUMMIT
A 5v5 map featuring Spike, set in a Radiant Academy in the mountains of China. Fight in training halls and meditation gardens with descending walls that transform the battlefield during each round.
Summit features three lanes and two points.
MODE CHANGES
Introducing "CAPTURE" – a dynamic 3v3 Spike mode based on post-Spike confrontations. Rounds begin with a pre-planted Spike. One team holds the point, while the other attempts to capture it within a set time. Hold the point, repel the assault, and win 5 rounds before your opponent.
WEAPON CHANGES
It's been several months since the Bandit's release, and overall, we're pleased with the pistol. However, we see room for improvement in its reliability while maintaining its status as a precision weapon that requires skill. We want to maintain a balance between the Bandit's price and skill compared to the Ghost and Sheriff, and we believe these changes will make it more effective.
BUG FIXES
Fixed an issue where two different lines could play simultaneously when a player won a round or match.
Fixed an issue where, if a player was spectating an ally who scored an ace or scored a clutch in the previous round, the praise line before the next round would be in the wrong direction.
Fixed an issue where the color of the bottom section of the special abilities and ultimates interface would appear incorrect after switching sides or starting overtime.
